MTSS

Valencia staff are focused on providing strong first instruction to all students and differentiating learning activities to encourage growth in skills and self-confidence.  

After analyzing student data, teachers determine areas of strengths and needs for the children in their classes. Students who are struggling with specific concepts will be provided with additional learning opportunities during which teachers continue to gather data that will aid them in identifying appropriate interventions.

Teachers also work with colleagues at their grade level to support students.  If, after implementing interventions with consistency, teachers may recommend  a meeting with the student's parent or guardian and our MTSS team to identify additional interventions and strategies to use with the child.
