Ways to Get Involved at Valencia

VOLUNTEER

It is our desire that all parents feel a part of the Valencia community right from the start. One sure way to do this is to volunteer!  Parents, teachers and administrators working together promotes an excellent learning experience for our children and Valencia Elementary's success is due, partly, to parent involvement.  We have a great group of committed, dynamic and enthusiastic parent volunteers who give of their time as they can.  Come be a part of the fun!

PTA

We have a very active PTA here at Valencia. Your talents, input, and support are always welcome! Please visit the PTA page to get more information about upcoming events.

Our PTA is always looking for volunteers!  We have many opportunities for you to help both at school and from home!  If interested, please contact the front office for more information!

SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

The School Site Council (SSC) is a committee of equal numbers of staff and parents which meets monthly to monitor progress on the Strategic Plan, and to make suggestions for school improvement. Members participate in the creation and annual revision of the Single Plan for Student Achievement. The SSC also approves the budgets of all categorical programs.

The School Site Council is actively involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricular programs. We are constantly seeking to improve instructional practice and to provide effective materials for classroom use.
