A Note to Families

Hello Valencia Families,
 
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! 
 

We are thrilled to have you as part of our Eagle community. At Valencia, we are dedicated to promoting academic achievement and positive social behavior by creating a safe, nurturing environment for all our students, staff, and families. Everything we do is to help students learn, grow, and become good citizens. As a service learning academy we believe that participating in acts of service will not only enrich students’ academics, but also deepen students’ learning about themselves. 

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our comprehensive curriculum, innovative teaching methods, and the various support systems we have in place. We believe in the power of collaboration and encourage open communication between home and school to ensure the success and well-being of our students. We teach our students to S.O.A.R.R. by following the behavior expectations of safe, organized, appreciation, respect, and responsibility. Thank you for encouraging these behaviors at home too.

Please watch for the weekly Sunday night communication in your email, text messages, or the Parent Square app. to stay up-to-date on the happenings here at Valencia.

We appreciate your support in the following ways:
  • Read with your student each night to encourage a love for learning
  • Promote and model our SOARR behavior expectations (Safety, Organization, Appreciation, Respect, and Responsibility) even at home
  • Join our PTA
  • Volunteer your time (ask your child's teacher, volunteer through PTA, or spend a day with us as a member of the WatchDOGS)
We look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Valencia Elementary meet their goals and have a successful and enjoyable school year!
